The terminal is story about the life journey of the main character, Viktor Navorski, a man from Krakozhia, an Eastern European country. He arrives in New York while his country was in war broke out. Unnoticed, Navorski is a man without country. The poor thing about Navorski is he doesn't speak English very well so he cannot talk and communicate with the people surrounding of him. Now, Navorski is a man without country. Because of this, he was allowing to stay in the airport while his passport is approved. The war in Krakozhia has been overthrown as a country with no nation recognizing, therefore all the government papers such as passport and visas are issued and not recognized internationally. He in New York just want to fulfill a wish of his late father's that is to get the autograph of Benny Golson. At the airport, he started to make friends with the terminal staff including Amelia Warren.He was falling in love with her. Besides that he was enjoy to work at the airport with the people surrounding of him. A few month later, the war in Krakozhia ended, but Dixon still not allow himto enter the United States. Amelia try to help him by contact her friend, that is a goverment staff who has a secret relationship with her. Dixon had to signed the papers to give Navorski passed to live in United States, but he refused. With the support from his friand surrounding, Viktor left the airport to get the autograph of Benny Golson. Finally, Viktor get the taxi, and ask the driver to take him home.
